Nintendo Revolution Controller Articles and Video

Click the above picture to see Nintendo's Presentation video for the Controller. It highlights people playing tennis, cutting vegetables, conducting music, playing the drums, playing baseball, fishing, being a dentist, jumping with Mario, using a flashlight in a haunted house, shooting a shotgun, swatting flies, sword fighting and more. I think you get the idea.

There's a lot of news out there about the Nintendo Revolution Controller right now, so I'm sure you could find tonnes of interesting stuff if you're curious about the Revolution Controller. I personally am super excited about the possibilities of this new controller, and I support Nintendo's vision for the future of videogames. I love what they're doing with the Nintendo DS, providing a platform that is significantly different from the competition and allowing creativity to be used alongside the hardware. I think the Revolution Controller will provide developers with ideas and tools that have never been an option before.

That being said, there are going to be a couple of drawbacks. The Revolution Controller has significantly less buttons than the competition, and so 3rd party, multi-platform games will probably be difficult to port onto the Revolution without a major makeover effort. Also, will Nintendo be able to attract hardcore gamers as well as casual ones? We'll have to wait and see, but I think a lot of people will become very excited about all of this.
